Browser Storage

Three cookies exist, and only one of them can reach a buyer. Section 1 lists all three with the conditions that write them; the rest of the page explains the missing consent banner and the equally missing tracking apparatus.

2.Why no banner appears

    A consent banner exists to ask permission for storage that goes beyond making a site work. Nothing in the table above goes beyond that, so there is nothing here to ask you about and no dialogue to dismiss before you can read a page.

    Put another way

    The absence of a banner is not an oversight. It is what a site looks like when it is not watching anybody.

3.What the table does not contain

    Four absences, worth stating because so many sites cannot state them:

    • an advertising identifier of any description;
    • a pixel measuring a campaign;
    • an analytics package belonging to a company other than this one;
    • a profile of you assembled across visits or across sites.

    Retargeting has never been part of how buyers find this store, so none of the four would have any work to do here.

4.Refusing them

    Your browser can block or delete storage for this domain at any moment, and every page here that exists to be read goes on working without it.

  2. 4.2

    Paying by card is the one exception. The processor's frame relies on its own cookies to secure a charge and simply will not complete while they are blocked.

5.The word itself, for anyone who wants it

    A cookie is a short string handed to a browser for safekeeping and returned on the next request. Certain jobs have no other mechanism at all — a signed-in session, for one. The same trick is what lets other operators follow a person from one website to the next, and that is where the word picked up its reputation.
