Your Data

Section 1 is the whole inventory: one table with a row for every scrap of personal data Planet Algo holds, the reason it is held and the day it goes. Six short sections follow it. This site was built to run on almost nothing about you, and almost nothing is what it has.

1.The whole inventory

    What is not on the list

    There is no marketing list. Nobody who did not ask for an email gets one, and nothing personal is sold, rented or traded to anybody.

2.What never reaches us at all

    Nothing whatever about your trading: no broker login, no balance, no open position, no history of fills. The engine lives on your own hardware and opens no connection back to us.

  2. 2.2

    Your card number is in the same category. It is typed into the processor's own frame and stays inside it from beginning to end; what comes back to us is the word cleared and an address to send the file to.

3.The three companies that also touch it

    Three, and each of them sees only what its own job needs: the processor that takes the card payment, the company whose servers hold this site up, and the company that carries our email.

    Beyond those three, data leaves us only where a law obliges us to hand it over.

4.Where it sits, and how it is guarded

    Data may be handled outside the country you live in, including by each of the three providers above.

  2. 4.2

    The precautions are the unglamorous ones: encrypted connections throughout, access confined to the people who cannot do their work without it, and secrets stored well away from the application's own database. No system is perfectly secure, and this page will not pretend otherwise about ours.

5.What you can ask for

    Depending on where you live, you may be entitled to see what is held, to have it put right or erased, to restrict or object to its use, or to be handed a copy of it. Send any such request to [email protected]. No reason is asked for and no obstacle is put in the way.

  2. 5.2

    Two limits, stated up front. A sale record that tax law obliges us to hold stays where it is whatever else is cleared out. And nothing you erase moves a date: a running licence keeps the end it always had, and a finished one stays finished.

6.Adults only

  1. 6.1

    This store sells to adults and does not knowingly collect anything at all from a person under 18. Tell us if you believe it has and the record will be removed.

7.Cookies, and where to write

  1. 7.1

    Browser storage has a document of its own: Browser Storage. It lists all three cookies by name.
